Diabla Spaces: Le Lumière

Diabla

We immerse ourselves in the golden years of cinema to celebrate its valuable architectural heritage, a journey through dreamlike temples that, around movie premieres and screenings, generated a rich social life in a combination of fantasy and emotions.

In this magical journey, La Ciotat cannot be missed—a place forever linked to the history of cinema through the Lumière brothers, inventors of the cinematograph. One of the first films in history was shot in this small town in Bouches-du-Rhône, on the Mediterranean coast of France. For this reason, its market was transformed into the Le Halle Lumière cinema in 1913.

A historic hall with spacious naves for an authentic cinema palace. We set out to exalt it in homage to these illustrious figures, installing around it some of our most iconic pieces with a touch of Versailles, simulating the wings of a palace.

The furniture from the Grill collection, designed by MUT Design and consisting of tables, armchairs, and sofas, has an original aesthetic inspired directly by barbecue grills and reminiscent of the geometric designs of Piet Mondrian. For this occasion, it is adorned with a pink frame and a new textile inspired by Colombina, a character from the Commedia dell’Arte.

The relaxed Mareta armchairs, created by Héctor Serrano with marked rectilinear forms, are also dressed in pink, creating perfect spaces for recreation and relaxation in an environment steeped in history.

Well accompanied by the Ploid collection furniture in white, a marvel composed of corner modules, poufs, or central modules designed by the Romero & Vallejo studio, which resists any configuration.

Horizontal navigation on mobile sounds like fun, but it's not. A wise man once said that videos should be shot horizontally, while websites should be navigated vertically.
