Diabla Spaces: Riva Diva
2 April, 2025Our Lena Swing Relaxes the Offices of a Financial Company with its Swing
The Austrian studio LOVE Architecture and Urbanism has transformed what were previously solemn, very formal, and conservative offices in Vienna into a space more in line with the corporate culture of the financial company CMTA: a very dynamic organization of bond traders, characterized by its relaxed, digital, and communicative work style among the members of a close-knit team.

The idea of the studio LOVE Architecture and Urbanism was to create a bright, dynamic, and energy-filled place, with spaces that could adopt functions, configurations, and environments in a flexible, free, and playful way. To achieve this, in one of the main areas of these large 500 m2 offices, they included our Lena swings, creating an informal rest area that can also serve for casual meetings or as a waiting area.
Our Lena swing is a unique design that includes an original aesthetic detail in its immaculate white polyethylene seat, as its rope plays with a cross-stitch pattern inspired by needlework, which is even more visible if the rope is another color, such as the red chosen by LOVE Architecture and Urbanism. A detail that gives it an adorable character between modern and traditional.
Designed by Frale Design, the Lena swing is a perfect proposal to give a playful or unexpected touch to a space, fitting both in an outdoor and indoor environment. The studio LOVE Architecture and Urbanism has injected a lot of style into the CMTA offices by including several Lena models in this multi-purpose space, not only for its striking presence but also for the choice of its braided polyester rope in a powerful red color, which makes the atmosphere of the scene even more vibrant.
It turns out especially interesting how our Lena swings dialogue with the rest of the elements of the space, some new and with a very modern character and others coming from the old design, like the storage wall in mahogany wood that runs almost the entire office. In the words of the studio itself, “it was too valuable to get rid of it,” so they integrated it into the new design looking for a formula that would merge it harmoniously.
As a contrast, they opted for coverings and paints in very neutral tones, but applied continuously, like the mahogany element itself. As flexible partitions they used curtains, whose lightness and dynamism also contrast with the solemnity and fixed character of this element. These curtains facilitate that spaces can adopt different functions with different degrees of privacy, according to the needs of the team. Likewise, they make it possible for the space to be completely open, favoring communication and socialization between workers.
A neutral and luminous space that constitutes the perfect stage for functional and playful objects, full of character, like our Lena swing. Furthermore, imitating its hanging condition and its swing, the studio LOVE Architecture and Urbanism included some planters that are also suspended from the ceiling, generating a surprising floating landscape.
