“Funky contract” attitude: relaxed sophistication and geometric freedom

Diabla

At DIABLA, our youngest and boldest brand, we continue to break molds in outdoor design with proposals that combine a strong visual personality with intelligent functionality. This year, under our “Funky contract” concept, we present pieces that are pure attitude and that allow the user to become the architect of their own environment.

We present as a major novelty JUNI, a lounger designed by the Japanese studio the design labo. This piece is born from a contemporary interpretation of Japanese culture, drawing inspiration from the Junihitoe, the complex layering system of the traditional clothing of the Japanese court. As its creator, Satoshi Itasaka, explains: “We wanted to translate the elegance of the layers of a traditional kimono into an outdoor piece. JUNI is an invitation to stop and enjoy the simplicity of the moment”. With its fluid silhouette that seems to float, JUNI transforms a functional object into a habitable sculpture, providing a serene sophistication to any outdoor landscape.

Another of our bets is NEXO, a modular system designed by the Valencian studio Yonoh. This collection redefines spatial freedom starting from a creative challenge: extracting maximum versatility from the minimum unit, a single square module. For Clara del Portillo and Álex Selma, from Yonoh: “The challenge was to think of the system before the object. NEXO does not just furnish, but flows according to the needs of each moment”. It is a chameleon-like and eco-efficient tool that optimizes resources and allows for the creation of personalized habitable topographies, combining industrial rigor with the warmth of textile comfort.

Our chromatic and creative universe expands with designs that are already icons of our identity. The visual lightness of the RIBBONS armchair, designed by Bandada Studio, contributes that visual play of ribbons that draw the space with dynamism. This piece coexists with the architectural elegance of the ARP table, by Made Studio, whose vertical lines create a unique rhythmic texture.

Finally, we complete our proposal with versatile lighting solutions that accompany us wherever outdoor life takes us. The PLISY series and its PLISY UP version, designed by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco, reinterpret the classic pleated fabric screen in a portable and technological format. These “lantern-style” lamps perfectly summarize our spirit: taking a classic reference, giving it an unexpected twist, and making it totally free.
