Unwinding: Six sun loungers for a memorable summer

3 July, 2024

What makes a particular summer unforgettable? An unexpected love, a life-changing trip, or a captivating book that made you feel as if you were the main character?

Or perhaps, was it the deckchair where you devoured that book or experienced the summer; where you rested for hours, disconnecting and recharging; where an ice cream tasted as intense as if it were the first one you’d ever eaten; where you watched a meteor shower, wrapped in a sarong or embraced in someone’s arms.

Diabla

Sun loungers play a major role in our summers, yet we often overlook their importance compared to a love affair, a trip, or a book. We don’t usually remember a summer because of a sun lounger, do we? Yet, we all have memories of one or two.

CACAO by Odosdesign

Would floating on the CACAO inflatable mattress be the same as any other? CACAO‘s unique design, so distinctively Diabla, makes it memorable. Additionally, it can be used on an ad hoc structure and turned into a lounger. This ingenious design by Odosdesign resembles a chocolate bar, inspired by the upholstered Barcelona collection by Lilly Reich and Mies van der Rohe.

CACAO’s exceptional design has just won an ADCV Silver Award in the outdoor furniture category.

TRIP by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales & Borja García

For a more nomadic experience, Diabla’s TRIP collection features a pair of lightweight, foldable hammocks. These can easily be moved from a terrace to the beach, or placed in the shade of a tree, on a patio, or at the edge of a swimming pool. The TRIP Hammock offers three positions while the Sexy TRIP Hammock allows for lying completely flat. Both options come with a head cushion. Designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales and Borja García, these hammocks are perfect for transport or for spaces requiring constant reconfiguration.
