Diabla at the Salone del Mobile. Milano 2024

25 April, 2024

The new VALENTINA UP chair, ambassador of the brand’s creative attitude in a stand inspired by the beauty and tranquility of nature and the outdoors, relying on organic and natural elements.

Søren Rose and his team conceived the Gandia Blasco Group stand at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan as an oasis of fluid interiors and exteriors where natural elements formed both the structural and conceptual support. Thus, from a space defined by the use of organic, reusable, and sustainable materials, Diabla burst onto the scene in Milan with its laid-back style.

In one of the rooms of the stand, with walls of semi-transparent vegetal fabric, Diabla‘s creative design approach, adapted to new outdoor lifestyles, was unmistakable. The absolute protagonist was the new VALENTINA UP chair by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco, creative director of the firm, alongside the MONA table, an essential designed by the Diabla team.

Thank you for joining us once again for this unique occasion!

VALENTINA UP by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco

Natural materials define the new outdoor dining chair, serving as both structural and conceptual supports.

The VALENTINA UP collection reinvents the popular designs of the VALENTINA series by improving their ergonomics and enhancing them by raising them off the ground. Lightweight, fun, and elegant, its minimalist style puts into practice Mies van der Rohe’s famous quote “less is more.” Pure Diabla Outdoor style is updated through the addition of a chair to existing furniture such as the armchair, sofa, lounger, and tables.

The new VALENTINA UP chair is versatile and visually light, despite boasting solidity thanks to its structure made of textured powder-coated galvanized steel in a V shape. A structure that accommodates the voluminous cushions that are the true protagonists of the piece. Plush and comfortable, easily removable and adapted to the structure, they are filled with reusable polyurethane foam as padding in other designs and polyester fiber coated with water-repellent fabric, and available in the different textures of special outdoor fabrics that Diabla Outdoor offers in its catalog. Its versatility and simplicity allow the new VALENTINA UP chair to easily adapt to both outdoor and indoor environments.
