We bring music and color to the terrace of Nhow Berlin

Turn up the volume: Diabla’s boldest version rocks the River Spree

At Diabla, we don’t view outdoor living as something rigid or boring. We love breaking conventional rules and proving that design has the power to change the rules of the game depending on where it lands. For us, adapting a piece to a new space is like turning up the volume on a song: the rhythm changes, the energy spreads, and the environment takes on a completely new life. We break into real-world settings to revolutionize their atmosphere, injecting that signature blend of rebellious attitude, absolute comfort, and unapologetic color.

This time, we head to the heart of one of the most dynamic, groundbreaking, and creative capitals on the planet: Berlin. We set up on the terrace of the famous Nhow Berlin hotel, located right on the banks of the River Spree. Internationally renowned as Europe’s first music hotel, this space is a true avant-garde spectacle that stands out for its contemporary architecture, vibrant interior design, and a magnetic rhythm felt in every corner.

In the middle of this urban setting full of electricity and personality, Diabla unfolds its entire arsenal of color, contrast, and vitality. The hotel terrace becomes the perfect canvas for creating a social, fresh, and hyper-dynamic atmosphere through a cocktail of collections that converse with each other by combining materials, silhouettes, and intentions in the most playful way.

This Berlin adventure features top-tier allies. The lightness of the Trip side table, designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco and Borja García, joins the enveloping silhouettes of the Arp lounge chair by Made Studio, whose structure, inspired by 19th-century iron architecture and harp strings, casts incredible graphic shadows in the light of the Spree.

To boost urban comfort, the Valentina Up 2-seat sofa by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco elevates the concept of a plush cushion to a structured piece set on slender wire legs. The geometric and structured counterpoint is provided by MUT Design’s Grill coffee table, featuring a striking Mondrian-inspired aesthetic that contrasts beautifully with the irony and audacity of the award-winning Patoso pouf, also designed by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco, winner of the NYCxDESIGN Award 2022, Archiproducts Design Awards 2022, and DNA Paris Design Awards 2022, perfect for lounging back without hesitation. To round out the scene, a touch of greenery is structured using the clean outlines of the Gobi planter 1, 3, and 5, designed by Pablo Gironés.

At Nhow Berlin, Diabla’s furniture does not simply “furnish” an outdoor space; it ignites a versatile and interactive gathering spot. While in other locations our furniture seeks to blend in with the calm of the sea, in Berlin our pieces reflect the colors of the building facade and play with the changing tones of the northern sky, delivering a shot of freshness that invites celebration, connection, and conversation right in the heart of the city’s cosmopolitan beat.

Diabla’s presence at Nhow Berlin proves that outdoor design has its own rhythm: it can be functional, ultra-durable, and at the same time tremendously bold, vibrant, and fun.
