Turning necessity into a virtue, ‘small living’ has become a prominent trend in homes that, as a result of their limited space, need to awaken the senses to adapt them in the best way possible, largely by combining creativity and practicality.

With this premise, we present a selection of flexible, portable and adaptable outdoor furniture which proves that ingenious design results in a more fun and, of course, comfortable life, without needing a large space to do so.

Flexibility: easily adaptable designs

Our seating range makes the lack of a strong structure one of its strengths. This, combined with their evident fun and simplicity, results in products which are perfect for fitting into environments that are short on space. It is a pleasant surprise, suitable for all ages.

This is SAIL, the pouf which feels like a pleasant embrace when sat on, as it adapts perfectly to the shape of each person. Perfect for outdoor or indoor use, its removable upholstery makes it easy to clean. Designed by Héctor Serrano, it is a tribute to the innovative padding technique that became popular around the world in the 1960s, whilst its light nature means it is easy to position it in multiple areas of any room. SAIL is made with outdoor fabric and filled with a mixture of polystyrene beads and shredded polyurethane foam with a hydrophobic fabric, and it has removable upholstery.

Reinvention is living, and Teresa Sapey + Partners‘ designs breathe it. In her first collaboration with Diabla, COSTURAS, she achieves a versatile and adaptable piece of furniture that makes versatility its greatest strength. A simple and fun pouf, perfect for outdoor use and full of personality. A finalist in the 2022 NYCxDesign Awards, COSTURAS is made with hydrophobic outdoor fabric to withstand any circumstance, with removable upholstery. Its filling of polystyrene beads and foam base is synonymous with comfort and lightness.

Our powerful colour palettes make our designs stand out in any space; size is no obstacle. The MARETA armchair, by Héctor Serrano, thanks to its light nature, can be repositioned according to changing needs, evolving from an imposing presence to a perfectly adaptable element… It is also irresistible: its depth and comfort are captivating.
MARETA is perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, thanks to its hydrophobic and resistant fabric, and its filling of a mixture of polystyrene beads and shredded polyurethane foam makes it the perfect seat for chill-out spaces.

PATOSO, surprising and versatile, becomes the ideal choice to add unrestricted comfort, both indoors and outdoors. Thanks to its original design, created by Alejandra Gandía-Blasco, it transcends the limits between spaces, and the lightness of its aluminium structure makes it perfect for constantly reconfiguring environments.

PATOSO is a pouf filled with recyclable polystyrene beads, combined with a textured thermolacquered aluminum structure. Its upholstery is suitable for outdoor use and removable, while its filling is composed of viscoelastic flakes from reused foam materials and Ecofill fiber, which is 100% recyclable. This award-winning pouf (NYCxDesign Award, DNA Paris Design Awards, and winner of an Archiproducts Design Award in 2022, as well as a finalist in the German Design Awards 2023) is available in multiple colors that bring a fresh and carefree spirit to any corner.

Portable and lightweight

One of the main advantages of small spaces is their versatility: they are spaces which lack established rules, and whose function can adapt according to the user’s taste. Portable elements inspire this idea, accompany and bring a different touch to the surroundings.

PLISY is the chic and fun light that transforms a normal evening into an event. This stylish yet technological reinvention of the garden lantern is a fun accessory that shares aesthetic features with the elegant pleated indoor lamps, and brings this outdoors.
Awarded in the DNA Paris Design Awards and a finalist in the European Product Design Award, it consists of a polyethylene shade and a braided polyester rope available in 5 different colors.

But an evening like this would be incomplete without a touch of the Mediterranean spirit, perfect for any occasion. Tradition, popular culture and innovation go hand in hand with La Siesta, the plastic bottle-shaped botijo created by Alberto Martínez, Raky Martínez and Héctor Serrano. LA SIESTA is a piece entirely handmade using traditional Spanish techniques, making it unique. It has a thermolacquered finish, is available in 5 colors, and has a capacity of 1.2 liters.

Playful and colorful designs that add fun to any table or gathering, just like the FAROLES collection does. We guarantee it. They work perfectly as decorative elements and fulfill their purpose: protecting the outdoor candle. They are available in two square sizes: 30 or 40 cm on each side. Made with aluminum, textured in white or anodized color, and with white or transparent acrylic glass.

Foldable: easy to fit in every corner

Folding is undoubtedly the ultimate key to making the most of all the possibilities which a small space can offer, as it allows the user to fit as many pieces as possible into the space. This is a challenge that the TRIP outdoor furniture collection solves with ingenuity and elegance. With a fresh and itinerant character, it proposes the concept of “taking the furniture with you, something very close to the identity of Diabla Outdoor”, as its designers, José A. Gandía-Blasco and Borja García, explain.

Versatile and easily transported, the furniture in the TRIP collection is ideal for spaces that are frequently reconfigured. The low table is easy to handle and store, and is perfectly complemented by the sexy Trip hammock and the Trip director’s chair.
The structures of the TRIP collection are made of 100% recyclable thermolacquered aluminium, while the seats are made of plastic fabric to adapt to all types of weather conditions.

Small spaces have a hidden potential that we reveal through our itinerant, restless and spontaneous character.
